Free Ways to Help
Leave the stream page open when you’re away or playing a game yourself. Twitch discoverability is primarily based on viewer numbers, and just by being in chat, you’re helping boost the stream. Even if you mute the tab, you’re still counted as a viewer.
Make chatter in chat! There’s never any pressure to talk in chat, and we appreciate our lurkers. If you are a chatty creature though, sending messages helps to create a friendly atmosphere. Welcome in new people, comment on what is happening live, or tell us about your favourite games!
Lurk or Chat
Interaction is everything on socials! Leaving a like and a comment on any post tells the algorithm this is something it should promote.
If you ever see a #AD or #sponsored tag on a streamer’s post, make sure to leave some love on it. This is a paid post, sponsors look at analytics after the promotion, and the creator is more likely to work with them again if there is positive engagement!
